Job Description - Centre Manager

About Hadfield Early Learning Centre

 

At Hadfield Early Learning Centre, we support every child to learn and grow at their own pace and in their own unique way. We have an amazing opportunity for a passionate Centre Manager to join our team and offer families with a secure and safe environment where curiosity is encouraged, concepts are explored, and discovery is celebrated.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will,

 

  • ensure that the centre is a safe area and environment for the children, staff, parents and visitors
  • work with assistant director/director to develop and adapt programs that are developmentally appropriate for the children aimed at building physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of the children (individuals and groups)
  • supervise and provide care for children on centre premises, including observing changes and interpreting their behaviour
  • be accountable for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for the children in your care
  • develop, implement and monitor daily care routines including managing rosters using our time and attendance system
  • communicate and liaise with parents and families
  • uphold and comply with relevant government requirements, workplace practices and standards including day-to-day food safety practices
  • ensure that centre’s policies and procedures are adhered to on an operational day-to-day basis
  • control parents payments
  • ensure the premises are tidy, clean, operational and cared for
  • keep up to date in the governance of a child care facility

 

Qualification, Skills, Experience and Attributes

 

The successful candidate will,

 

· Have at least 2 years of experience in same position or closely related position

· Hold a Diploma of Childhood Education and Care, at the minimum

· Be available 5 days per week

· Be highly organised with a strong ability to work under pressure

· Have excellent attention to details

· Have experience maintaining health and safety standards, and risk minimisation

· Possess strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Education and Care Regulations

· Have confidence dealing with families, educators and the local community

· Be passionate about Early Years learning and development

  • Melbourne, Victoria
  • Full-time, Permanent
  • $75,000 to $85,000

The Advance Childcare Management team has in excess of 35 years’ experience in varied roles in the industry and we understand what it takes to run a high-quality childcare centre. Our centres include Wantirna South Early Learning Centre, Fitzroy Early Learning Centre and Grimshaw St Early Learning Centre.

  • Expected salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
