About the role

As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the comprehensive technical needs of the department's Microsoft Dynamics and Power Apps applications. This position involves providing technical design and delivery oversight and assistance, integrating inputs from architecture, networks, security, and other relevant domains to ensure system operability. Your primary goal will be to deliver cohesive and efficient business solutions that significantly advance the department's objectives.

You will participate actively in project and governance forums, ensuring that business analysis aligns seamlessly with the overarching goal of maintaining systems in accordance with business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with key teams and individuals to maintain and support the core business functionality of the D365 environment.
• Utilizing business process modeling techniques to illustrate process flows and identify areas for improvement.
• Converting business requirements into technical deliverables that align with industry best practices while managing cross-stream dependencies.
• Working with project teams to develop and prepare documentation such as technical requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Providing user support and troubleshooting, including performing root cause analysis of production issues and documenting resolutions.
• Interpreting requirements and developing software in line with the vision of team leadership and architectural design, while working from a product backlog in an agile development environment.
• Building and nurturing strong relationships to facilitate effective communication and stakeholder involvement, supporting requirements gathering, clarifying objectives, and managing expectations to ensure the successful implementation of recommended solutions.
• Contributing to initiatives that positively impact stakeholders within the VET domain.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive experience as a Dynamics 365 developer with a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of complex business initiatives.
• Experience in aligning technical delivery efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring solutions support overarching goals.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, departments, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements, streamlining workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders at various levels, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships to facilitate communication.
• Track record of contributing to informed decision-making through clear and insightful analysis.
• Hands-on experience translating business requirements into actionable solutions, collaborating across teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Proficiency in documenting analysis findings and requirements, and presenting them to stakeholders in clear and concise formats.
