Jewellery CAD Designer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Jewellery Designer who is proficient in both Rhino CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and Adobe Suite. This role will be responsible for conceptualising and designing unique, captivating jewellery in the Temple style. Your expertise in CAD and Adobe Suite will be crucial in bringing these visions to to life. Skills and Experience Required:

Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Rhino 3D or Matrix Gold, to create detailed and accurate 3D models of jewellery designs. Z-Brush & rendering skills not necessary but would be advantageous.

Strong proficiency in the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, to enhance and refine 2D jewellery designs.

In-depth knowledge and experience of gemstones, precious metals, and jewellery manufacturing techniques.

Ability to interpret and understand creative director’s vision and translate them into innovative on-brand jewellery designs.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality designs within specified timelines.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and marketing departments.

Project management & troubleshooting skills to apply to user manuals and handovers for other departments.

Proven portfolio of jewellery designs showcasing creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.

Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design or a related field (preferred).

Experience with 3D printing also a bonus.

Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas:

Create and design jewellery pieces using CAD software, considering brand aesthetic, budget, market trends, and manufacturing feasibility.

Develop 3D models and renderings of jewellery designs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure that designs can be successfully translated into finished products.

Use Adobe Suite software to develop, enhance and refine demi-fine jewellery designs.

Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and emerging technologies in jewellery design and CAD software.

Work closely with the marketing team to provide design support for promotional materials for online platforms if and as required.

Key Performance Indicators and Success Criteria:

Timely completion of jewellery designs within specified deadlines.

Quality of designs, including accuracy, attention to detail, budget requirements and adherence to brand requirements.

Successful translation of designs into finished products, ensuring manufacturing feasibility

Positive feedback from cross-functional teams, including production, marketing and sales departments.

Recognition of creativity and innovation in jewellery designs by Temple customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
