The Role.

The role sits within our product development team, and you’ll report to our CTO. You'll work closely with the engineering team, the executive and members of other departments to align engineering with other critical business functions.

What you'll do.

• Writing, debugging, and maintaining computer program code to ensure its proper functionality.
• Designing and planning new software applications or systems to ensure that they meet user requirements and technical specifications.
• Testing the written code to ensure its quality and stability, as well as fixing any bugs.
• Resolving issues within the code, including bug fixing, performance improvements, and reliability enhancements.
• Participating in various stages of project planning, development, implementation, and maintenance, collaborating with team members to accomplish tasks.
• Assisting software users and addressing issues they encounter during usage.
• Keeping up with the latest industry technologies, continuously learning new programming languages, tools, and technologies to improve one's skills and knowledge.

Skills.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer related field
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or other mainstream programming languages, with more than 2 years of experience as a Developer Programmer or similar role
• Familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, and the ability to perform data modeling and optimization
• Proficient use of Git for code management, along with experience in CI/CD tools
• Skills in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting, as well as the capability to design systems according to quality assurance standards
• Familiarity with software deployment testing and automated management
• Ability to identify and mitigate security risks
• Second language speaker, Chinese (desired not essential)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

In 1-3 months, you will...

• Familiarise yourself with our team structure and workflows
• Complete the the company onboarding process and get to know your colleagues
• Build an understanding of our product development practices, processes and frameworks
• Begin to develop relationships with key stakeholders, team leaders and members of the executive team

In 3-6 months, you will...

• Take ownership of your first initiatives
• Provide support to our existing products
• Prepare and support the execution of core product features
• Establish relationships with inter-departmental key stakeholders

In 6-12 months, you will...

• Become familiar with the company’s creative product portfolio
• Become an integral and contributing part of our programmer team
