Director, Head Teacher, Farrer Playschool. Farrer, Canberra ACT. Management - Vocational (Education & Training). Part time. Early Childhood Teacher/Director. Farrer Playschool is seeking an Early Childhood Head Teacher/Director. This is a part time position, 24.5 hour per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). Please note, you do not need TQI accreditation to apply for the role. About us: Farrer Playschool is one of the best Playschools in Canberra! It is a not-for-profit, community-based educational facility for three and four year old children. The Playschool’s fully qualified staff use a structured program to help the “Playschoolers” develop the social skills and confidence that will be of value to them in their preschool year. Qualifications and experience: Diploma of Children’s Services or an Early Childhood Degree (preferred). Current WWVP status/willing to obtain. Current first aid/willing to obtain. Experience and passion for working with children aged 3-5 years. Tasks and responsibilities: The Director will hold the responsibility of being the Controlling Person for our Playschool License. You will be responsible for remaining compliant with the license, the ACT Children’s Services Standards and Farrer Playschool policies and procedures. The Playschool Teacher/Director will also work together with the Playschool educator to complete the educational programming and planning for the Playschool. Benefits: Great work-life balance.
