OPPORTUNITY

The Producer, Events role at Carriageworks offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects in a collaborative and creative environment, making a meaningful impact on the cultural landscape while also furthering your own professional development and growth.

An example of some of the events coming up at Carriageworks this year are: Sydney Writers Festival, Sydney Contemporary, Pinot Palooza, Vivid, Fashion Week, Festival of Dangerous Ideas and of course our famous farmers market.

It is one of two roles to work closely with the Major Events Manager and the Director, Events and Production in the planning and delivery of events across the Carriageworks precinct.

The position works closely with the Commercial, Production and Technical Teams to ensure that event management is of the highest standard, meets / exceeds client expectations and continues to build Carriageworks’ outstanding reputation in the delivery of high-quality experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DAY TO DAY

As the Producer, Events at Carriageworks, your key responsibilities will include:

• Producing events and providing event management services as directed.

• Ensuring a consistent and high-level of presentation standard is achieved for all events and projects.

• Providing timely and accurate event information relating to event details to internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensuring reconciliations and services invoicing is accurate and on time.

• Participating in client visits, event planning and project meetings as required.

• Communicating clearly and efficiently with clients and partners.

• Reporting on post event outcomes and identify opportunities to enhance process and services.

• Contributing to the development and implementation of new systems and ongoing efficiencies across Carriageworks.

PREFERRED CRITERIA

We are seeking an individual with:

Tertiary qualifications, or equivalent extensive experience, in events management.

• Experience in database management and venue-management software applications.

• A broad understanding of the events, arts and cultural industries

• Excellent administrative experience and skills including high level proficiency in Microsoft Office and Venue Management software.

• Proactive attitude with high level attention to detail skills.

• A working knowledge of workplace health and safety (WH&S).

• Ability to work collaboratively and manage and maintain a broad range of relationships.

• Flexible approach to working hours, including the capacity to work evenings and weekends.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES (OR WILLINGNESS TO OBTAIN)

• First Aid Certificate

• Working With Children Check
