Visit our First Nations programs page for more informatio: Location: We are open to considering having the candidate based anywhere in New South Wales where we have a WaterNSW officeSalary: Starting from $126,780 base + superTenure: Full-Time, Permanent What we are looking for: A strong desire to contribute your skills and expertise to our business Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (civil engineering preferred) or equivalent level of operational experience Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of asset management and lifecycle, cost benefit analysis, risk assessment and application of a risk management framework Experience in working within a team environment to achieve corporate and business unit objectives and maximise operational performance Good verbal and written communications skills, with demonstrated experience in report writing and use of Microsoft Word and Excel Current NSW Driver’s Licence Join us on our journey to build a more inclusive workplace and make a difference in the lives of our customers and communities. What you will work on: Undertake planning implementation of the Asset Capital Plan, including facilitating timely and effective prioritisation and initiation of capital works in liaison with stakeholders Ensure project initiations briefs are developed, which effectively define clear needs, objective and benefit statements, battery limits, estimates and terms of reference for option selection Effective liaison with the project delivery team throughout the project lifecycle, including providing timely review of requests for changes to project budget and/or scope for prudency, efficiency, deliverability and priority within the capital plan Act as sponsor’s representative for projects sponsored by Asset Planning within the position’s area of accountability, to provide sponsor’s assurance of effective delivery Negotiation with the project delivery team, in consultation with key stakeholders on project objectives and handover requirements within areas of responsibility and make recommendations to project sponsor for sign off Who is WaterNSW? WaterNSW operates the state’s dams, capturing and storing water, and then supplying it ready for distribution – for the environment, agriculture, industry and the community. With 41 major dams and hundreds of waterways across the state, we play a vital role at the source of the state’s water, delivering two thirds of all water used in NSW.
