Full stack .net developer

The opportunity
Our client is an Australian Federal Government organisation, who are currently looking for an experienced Full Stack / JavaScript and .NET Developer to join a long term program and major investment in modern digital technology.

• Initial 12 month contract plus a 12 month extension, with rates negotiable
• Melbourne CBD based role, 3 days in office and 2 from home
• Must be an Australian Citizen, ideally with an AGSVA security clearance

Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop enterprise solutions in .Net/.Net Core/JavaScript, with key experiences required including:

• Participate in requirements analysis
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code following Departmental standards and practices
• Work collaboratively with team members
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Improve and maintain existing software
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated industry-based knowledge and experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications and web services using Microsoft technology stacks including .NET Core / .NET 5,6, and JavaScript frontend frameworks including Vue.JS and Angular
• Experience with Visual Studio 2019 / 2022, Visual Studio Code
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture
• Modern software development utilising Microsoft Azure PaaS Services (App Service, Function App, APIM, Service Bus, Azure SQL)
• CI/CD Practices
• Demonstrated application development experience working on either high-volume transactional system or entitlement / calculation engines
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment
• Prior project delivery experience or working knowledge of modern software development utilising Microsoft Azure PaaS Services
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolsets
• Must be an Australian Citizen, and an AGSVA security clearance would be highly regarded
