Job Description - IT Manager

We are a community-based not-for-profit organisation that aims to prevent youth homelessness and family breakdown by providing a range of innovative accommodation, care and support services to young people and their families in Sydney.

Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, managing the internal IT team, and ensuring the successful completion of IT projects within established timelines and budgets. Serving as the main point of contact for maintaining a secure and efficient IT infrastructure, the role involves close collaboration with external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and lead the implementation of various IT projects
  • Support and resolve technical IT incidents as well as improve broad internal IT capabilities
  • Improve the cyber security posture of the company to prevent and respond to threats and safeguard its information, assets, and services
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry security standards and other legislation identified within the IT risk and compliance framework
  • Manage IT security policies, audits, and assessments.
  • Manage the internal IT team
  • Manage technology licenses and subscriptions, including periodic renewals
  • Collaborating with our internal staff to analyse business requirements, provide functional and business analysis including process mapping, requirements gathering, scoping and estimation.
  • Managing ICT systems performance, maintenance, cyber security and risk mitigation
  • Managing ICT costs, budget planning and life cycle replacement

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum five years of experience in the IT sector within mid-cap companies
  • Relevant tertiary degree and/or recognised qualifications within Information Technology
  • Problem-solving - ability to deal with ambiguous circumstances and take an assumption-based approach to drive IT to project outcomes
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 suite, Entra, SSO and Intune
  • Clear communication and presentation skills
  • Relationship management - develop and maintain effective working relationships with the ability to influence, advise and support key decision-makers
  • Proven experience in ICT and business operations management roles
  • Current WWCC and National Police Check or willingness to obtain
