  • Work collaboratively with hospital managers and clinicians to ensure the existing ACI Blood and Marrow Transplant/ Cellular Therapies (BMT+CT), Quality Management System is accurately maintained to meet accreditation and local requirements.

We are looking for
  • Ability to provide regular on-site support to each BMT+CT clinical, apheresis and laboratory units in order to assist with the maintenance of quality systems to meet the accreditation requirements related to transplant of Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPC) and infusion of Immune Effector Cells (IEC).
  • Able to prepare, review and update the standard operating procedures (SOP) related to donor selection, product collection, processing and/or infusion.
  • Experience in auditing clinical and laboratory processes.
  • Experience in investigating non-conformances in clinical and laboratory practices and able to develop corrective action plans.
  • Achieve project deadlines and milestones as per the BMT+CT Network work plan and as specified in the quality system procedures.

For more information go to What You Will Be Doing The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Blood and Marrow Transplant + Cellular Therapies (BMT+CT) Network & Quality Manager with the maintenance and further development of the ACI Quality Management System for the BMT+CT laboratories, apheresis and clinical units in NSW Public Hospitals which collect, process and/or transplant Haematopoietic Progenitor Cells (HPC) and Immune Effector Cells IEC). Currently, all apheresis units that collect cells for HPC transplant or IEC infusion and all BMT+CT Laboratories are required to conform to the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC) Requirements, with compliance assessed by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) to achieve their accreditation, and, (where applicable) the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy and/or Joint Accreditation Committee's of ISCT and EBMT (FACT-JACIE).   • Significant experience in blood / marrow transplant and cellular therapies within a clinical, apheresis or laboratory setting, together with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in developing and documenting clinical or laboratory standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in quality management and standards as they apply to blood / marrow transplant and cellular therapies (FACT-JACE, NATA and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)).
  • Experience in auditing clinical and laboratory processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and negotiate change and improvement initiatives with clinicians.
  • Excellent skills in use of MS Office Suite, project management software e.g. MS Project, MS Visio. quality management software and other relevant software.
  • A current NSW Driver's License or similar. Please note that a motorcycle license alone is not sufficient.
