HAYS Technology has currently partnered with a large health organisation located in Geelong CBD, Victoria.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent MuleSoft Integration Developer/ Data Integration Specialist with Agile development methodologies.

You will be leveraging expertise and experience to optimise database performance, streamline data integration processes, and ensure seamless data flow across systems. They aim to enhance data accessibility, accuracy, and security while minimising downtime and maximising efficiency. By implementing effective database management strategies, establishing robust integration frameworks, and proactively addressing data-related challenges, contribute to the success of an organisation by enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting scalable growth.

Your new role

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the day-to-day activities and project activities to support the organisational data through frameworks and industry standards.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions using tools such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and API (Application Programming Interface) integrations.

• Managing the coordination and communication on escalations and major incidents.

• Providing expert advice on data integration standards and tools, such as HL7, Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SSIS, or similar platforms.

• Ensuring that data is loaded into target systems in a timely and efficient manner

• Developing and maintaining documentation for data integration solutions

• Managing the database tune-ups and optimisation and providing advice on best practice to improve organisational maturity.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Tertiary education in relevant discipline (or equivalent work experience)

• Demonstrated strong experience of ETL and API integration .

• Experience with data integration tools such as HL7, InterSystems IRIS, or MuleSoft .

• Strong understanding of databases and data structures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Highly developed written communication skills combined with attention to detail

• Demonstrated experience of designing the big picture, and analyse what is the most important for organisation to ensure the team is working on the highest impact work

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security principles

• Experience with data warehousing concepts

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash

• Experience in the healthcare sector will be highly regarded.

What you'll get in return

This role offers you an annual salary of $130K - $135K + super (Open to discuss for the right candidate), with an immediate start. The role will be hybrid, working 2-3 days in the Geelong office and the rest working from home.
