We are looking for a skilled Front End Developer for a full-time and permanent position within our technology team in the Gold Coast. Salary - $90-120K + super

AutoGuru is an award winning (AFR Most Innovative & Deloitte Tech Fast50) Marketplace/SaaS/payments tech scale-up based in Broadbeach on the beautiful Gold Coast, seeking a front end developer to join our highly experienced tech team. The successful candidate will be joining a group of high achievers building scalable cloud and data solutions (no legacy) for the rapidly changing automotive sector.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

● Perform front end development, analysis, and planning activities with current projects.

● Work as part of internal and external development teams to achieve goals and project objectives aligned to company values and behaviour.

● Development of innovative, fit for purpose front end solutions which meet require SLA’s and defined quality parameters.

● Provide responsive, adaptive web solutions which are scalable, reusable and meet performance requirement.

● Demonstrated use of Agile methodologies.

● Maintain and manage code in source repositories.

● Software development estimation and release planning.

● Effective planning, tracking, and reporting of development activities.

● Adhere to established technology standards and best practice.

● Identification of technology trends and opportunities for innovation in web or convergent technology.

● Ensure the company’s technological processes and customer-facing services comply with applicable laws and regulations for privacy, security, and social responsibility.

● After hours Support– IT staff are required to perform out of hours support to effectively manage planned maintenance and software incidents/outages. You agree to participate on an afterhours support roster.

● Translate designs into markup/styling and implement technical requirements.

● Develop high-performance, reliable and maintainable front-end code to realize complex visual designs and interactions while staying true to the creative vision

● Build and maintain front-end libraries and frameworks.

● Site development, cross browser and quality assurance testing and debugging

● Participate in project estimation, technical planning from definition to implementation

● Clearly communicate with the project team including designers analysts and project managers

● Work with back-end developers to integrate front-end code, ensuring design integrity

● IT Degree or comparable industry experience.

● Minimum 3+ years experience working in a front-end developer programmer role

● Expert knowledge of React, Typescript & HTML/CSS(SASS),

● Strong technical ability in Figma and/or Adobe Illustrator

● Expert knowledge of responsive development principals

● Strong UI/UX understanding and an eye for detail

● Good understanding of the SDLC

● Agile delivery experience

● Web Accessibility and developing to W3C standards

● Experience working with version control systems - GitHub

● Good written and verbal communication skills

● Self-motivated, ability to work independently and efficiently

● Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
