Project Manager - Infrastructure - Federal Government

One of Australia's most progressive Federal Government departments are looking to engage multiple Project Managers with experiencedelivering software projects to deliver outputs and products in accordance with budgets and quality standards. The role involves working on projects and initiatives involving Telephony Management solutions, cloud transitions and Network Replacements. The role can be based in Canberra or Melbourne with remote work also available. The successful Project Managers will be offered a 12 month contract with a 12 month extension option.   

The successful Project Managers will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Developing Business cases with potential benefits through development or changed processes
• Managing project budgets and tracking the project expenses and revenues
• Managing project risks and implementing mitigation and contingency plans
• Ensuring the project deliverables comply with the quality standards and specifications

The successful Project Managers will have experience in the following:

• Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Waterfall and Scrum
• Demonstrated experience in decision facilitation and defining decisions when stakeholders have conflicting views
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional certifications such as PMP or Prince2 (desirable)
