About the role:
Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) is a specialist area within Victoria Police that works with partner agencies to investigate, disrupt and mitigate the risk of terrorism and politically motivated violence in Victoria. The Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit aims to reduce the risk of individuals from becoming or remaining violent extremists and to address the social impacts of violent extremism. The Strategic Coordination Unit provides forward looking advice to decision makers at Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) on national security threats and related matters from a Victorian perspective.
A Senior Analyst leads the production of intelligence products and can mentor junior intelligence staff in a complex and dynamic environment. Working closely with other intelligence staff, the Senior Analyst conducts in depth research to support investigations, operations, and the direction of the CTC. Senior Analysts also have the opportunity to participate in training and exercises to expand their skills and support organisational emergency response capabilities.
