The AWS Practice within is home to our deepest AWS experts and supports Accenture’s more than 1,500 certified AWS architects across the company. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Modernization Architect to join our dynamic team. This person will play a key role in guiding our clients through the modernization process, leveraging your expertise in mainframe systems, AWS cloud services, application/data separation, and modernization tools.

• Collaborates with clients to assess their current mainframe systems and identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.

• Develops and implement modernization strategies tailored to each client's unique needs and objectives.

• Leads the design and implementation of mainframe-to-AWS migration projects, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.

• Works closely with project teams to refactor, re-architect, and re-platform mainframe applications for AWS deployment.

• Defines data migration strategies, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (CDC) processes.

• Utilizes mainframe modernization tools with a focus on AWS Mainframe Modernization Service to automate processes and improve efficiency.

• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and project stakeholders.

• Acts as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms.

• Stays current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to mainframe modernization and cloud computing.

• Ability to meet travel requirements, when required
