Senior Web Developer

Scope of Task:

This role involves database management and the development and management of webenabled applications to support logistics assurance activities. The primary responsibilities include leading the development enhancement and maintenance of software applications used in logistics assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain critical logistics management tools (webbased applications).
• Develop and manage frameworks and dashboards for business process monitoring and stocktake reporting.
• Provide developer and data support for annual asset and inventory samples.
• Support logistics management governance and legislative compliance.
• Remediate logistics audit findings and ensure compliance with imposed conditions.
• Support logistics management assurance outcomes and reporting to senior management.

Key Deliverables:

• Lead the development of new applications to meet capability or reporting requirements.
• Conduct remediation activities to ensure applications function as designed.
• Periodically review and remediate threats and weaknesses in applications.
• Review analyse and report on sustainment requirements for software applications.
• Analyse and report on application design implementation and sustainment.
• Transition and rebuild applications to support logistics assurance activities.

Primary Duties:

• Development and maintenance of various webbased applications essential for logistics assurance.
• Transitioning applications from legacy systems to new enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.
• Implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within logistics networks.
• Development of new cloud software within ERP ecosystems.
  

Requirements

Mandatory Skills and Attributes:

• Understanding of the logistics environment.
• Proficiency in developing and running complex SQL queries.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL Server 2015.
• Capacity to develop web and standalone applications using specified development languages.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work unsupervised and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Selfstarter with initiative.

Essential Experience:

• Technical mastery of fullstack development.
• Intuitive user interface (UI) design assessments and modern user experience (UX) analysis.
• Extensive experience in MSSQL HTML and JavaScript.

Highly Desirable Experience:

• Experience with current and older web languages (ASP classic VueJS PHP MySQL CSS API Bootstrap 5 GEOJSON Highcharts).
• Deep experience in data science and deploying large AI data models.
• Experience with GIT commands.
• Experience in a logisticscentric environment.
• Working experience with the IDEA software application and interfacing with SQL server databases.
• Previous experience in Defencerelated roles.
