Requirements

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Design, test and develop software to meet user needs this includes, talking through requirements with requester and presenting ideas for solution improvements. 
• Able to disseminate information to technical and non-technical resources alike in a clear and concise manner utilising good written, verbal and computer skills. 
• Clears assumptions up front, considers multiple solutions, understands the implications, risks and details of the various options – able to think and plan ahead 
• Perform extensive testing of the software during development and integration with recorded results. 
• Be involved in all stages of software development lifecycle. 
• Provide support and troubleshoot problems occurring in production and QA. 
• Ensure software complies with coding standards and architectural design 
• Manage time effectively to be working on multiple projects at any given time. 
• Create, manage and champion continuous integration and delivery pipelines. GitLab experience is a bonus. 
• Develop scalable and flexible software and enterprise integration architecture which promotes component re-use

Here's what you'll bring:

• Min 3 years’ experience as a Software Developer, with experience in modern web application frameworks, architectures and tools. 
• Proficient in Typescript and Javascript, Node.JS, Python and SQL / NoSQL 
• Sound understanding of up-to-date technology with a good grasp of existing software, tools, and libraries that can be suitably utilised (or the ability to find these when needed) 
• Front-end development experience with frameworks such as NextJS, React or Vue, proficient in HTML5 and CSS 
• Learn and embrace new technologies and openly seek advice from others when unsure of approach or technology. 
• Always strives to keep the solution as simple and clean as possible (Knowledge and use of the book ‘Clean Code’ by Robert C. Martin is a huge plus) 
• Be a team player with a growth mindset
• Be aligned with CT’s Values 
• Experience working with container based and modern cloud technologies like Docker and Kubernetes 

Please note that all team members must have a valid state-based Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police check, and be authorised to work in Australia.

This role does not require any formal qualifications and is classed under the Business Equipment Award.
