You'll be responsible for:

• Managing your file portfolio.
• Acting for Plaintiffs in civil proceedings.
• Appearing at Pre-Trial Reviews, Pre-Hearing Conference, Settlement Conference, Mediations, Reviews, Status Conference, Directions Hearings and Small Claims Hearings.
• Filing and serving necessary Court documents, preparing evidence for hearings, preparing for Court Arbitrations/Hearings/Trials, brief Counsel and otherwise negotiating settlements.
• Negotiating commercial settlements.
• Drafting court documentation, including Statement of Claims, Affidavits/Lists of Documents, Requests and Answers to Further and Better Particulars, Requests and Answers to Interrogatories, Notices to Admit, Notices to Produce, Notices of Default, Subpoenas and others.

Important to your success:

• Ability to manage and progress a portfolio of litigated matters under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer.
• You will possess the relevant legal qualifications.
• Taking ownership of your matters and acting with integrity in your dealings with our clients and our opponents.
• Courageous in going that extra mile to negotiate the best possible settlement.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Driven and goal-oriented.

• An understanding of loss of use and credit hire law is an advantage.
