Job Description

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our Financial Crimes domain!

The primary purpose of this position is to develop and align solutions to agreed policies and business needs and to support the Domain Lead and Enterprise Architect in developing a cohesive IT strategic and architectural direction. This position will have a major focus on system architecture within Domain.

In the role of the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and communicating IT solution architectures and designs.
• Contributing to the technology component business case development by providing high-level but concise solution architectures, ensuring consistency, interoperability, and strategic alignment to the domain.
• Be the ‘voice of the domain’ to all outside stakeholders to ensure that the teams needs are met and that the Scrum teams are getting required support.
• Business Requirements qualification, ensuring solution scope is in line with Cuscal’s architectural and strategic guidelines.
• Ensuring the interoperability and consistency of all solutions within the Domain.
• Leading the identification and assessment of new applications and infrastructure for Cuscal, to deliver best practice business solutions.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

• Advanced knowledge of Financial Systems; core banking systems, payment platforms, and other financial transaction processing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to define IT architectures, standards, and solutions and to get stakeholder agreement on those architectures, standards, solutions.
• Experience with API Lifecycle Management.
• Experience or familiarity with AWS Cloud Services , Data, Design and Cloud adoption frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to define IT architectures, standards, and solutions and to get stakeholder agreement on those architectures, standards, solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to guide projects and deliver outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to produce solution designs and artefacts within agile ways of working.
• Technical acumen with AWS services , PaaS, IaaS, Security, networking, and infrastructure
• Experience in working in Agile and Waterfall environments with an ability to adapt to differing project methodologies. 

Desirable:

• Experience in the payment’s environments with payment system standards such as AS2805/ISO8583, ISO20022, BECS, etc.
• Experience in software development.
