The Opportunity

 

Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Covalent Lithium Project at Kwinana. To support the delivery of this landmark project we are seeking applications from experienced Electrical Superintendents to join our existing Electrical Team to oversee the requirements for the project.

 

• Immediate start
• Expected project completion 2024
• Locally based Monday – Friday 50 hours per week
• Opportunity to be a part of Civmec’s largest Civil, SMP, and Electrical Construction Project and join out growing construction team

Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Superintendent is responsible for the planning, forecasting, provision of requirements, compliance, safety and forward control of operations to ensure all construction works are executed in an efficient manner.  Other responsibilities include:-

 

• Supervise the safety of the work crew and ensure all works are completed in a safe manner. This includes compliance to legislative guidelines, Company procedures and policies, the Project Health and Safety Management Plan and other applicable documents
• Manage the planning of the work and specifically take responsibility for the planning and reporting of the work scopes and updates within the assigned area
• Supervise and control the works within their designated area and direct the work to ensure production targets are met. Specifically, ensure that the work crew meets schedule targets within the allotted budget.
• Manage the quality of the Works on a day to day basis to maintain and ensure all work is of a high standard and compliant with quality control frameworks
• Work as part of a broader project team that includes other supervisors, work crews, disciplines and the broader management team

About You

 

Qualifications

 

• White Card/Blue Card
• WA Electrical Workers License
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
• Hazardous Area Card (preferred)
• WA nominees Course
• Valid Driver’s License

 

Experience

 

• Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience working in the construction, mining and resource industries.
• Proven knowledge and experience in project planning and resource management is essential.
