Job Description - Mechanical Engineering Internship Program Winter

CareerDC Internships charge a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable) and support during your internship.

Learn new professional and technical skills and get experience in mechanical design and/or current software used in mechanical engineering.

The Mechanical Engineering Internship Program is ideal for international engineering students in Australia who are looking for hands-on industry experience and need academic credit for the internship.

The internship program is also open to domestic engineering students.

If you are a new graduate, or your degree has no internship component, you can enrol for the internship program and combine it with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

To give you some examples, the Mechanical Engineering internship host companies include:

  • Mechanical engineering company with hundreds of industrial, commercial and residential maintenance contracts.
  • A company that designs and manufactures precision-engineered products for clients in the automotive and building industries.
  • A company that specialises in the development and administration of intelligent HVAC solutions.

As another example, your internship could see you learn and get hands-on experience in any of the following types of tasks, depending on your host company:

  • Assisting with the creation of plans and designs using CAD technology.
  • Learning about developing a project specification with colleagues from other engineering disciplines.
  • Learning about project management and how to discuss and solve problems.
  • Assisting product managers and technicians with product inspections and functional testing.
  • Learning about reviewing quotations and measuring against specifications and drawings.
  • Assisting with the preparation of documentation and transmittals.
  • Getting hands-on experience conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC. We are work experience placement coordinators. We’ve assisted domestic and international students in Australia for over a decade to obtain degree-related internship placements and work experience.

The Mechanical Engineering Internship Program will be matched with your internship needs and preferences, including location, length and start date.

Apply now with your resume and contact CareerDC for details about the internship program, how it works and what is included.

There is a coordination fee that comes with the internship program, including the internship placement.

To apply and to get full details on the program and what is included, send your CV to CareerDC.
