It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.
We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.
Build a career with purpose.
Graduating is just the beginning. Where you choose to start your career can shape where it takes you next.
Our 12-month graduate program is designed to help you build confidence, develop your skills, and make a meaningful contribution from day one. You'll gain hands-on experience working on real initiatives that help deliver better outcomes for our customers, communities, and people, while being supported by leaders who are genuinely invested in your growth.
Because we're a connected organisation, you'll have opportunities to work alongside leaders from across the business, gaining exposure to different perspectives and seeing the impact of your work firsthand.
About Group Risk:
As a graduate, you'll join Group Risk, the team that stands at the very centre of the bank's decision-making. We are the strategic partners who safeguard the bank’s future, using data and deep expertise to turn complex challenges into smart, value-driving business decisions. It’s our job to provide the independent oversight and constructive challenge that empowers the entire organisation to grow safely and sustainably. You’ll be part of a dynamic division that continuously refines the bank’s core risk frameworks, ensuring we are always ready for what’s next.
In the Enterprise Risk stream, you’ll focus on the foundations of risk management at a bank, learning how the bank’s strategy is enabled by risk, and how risk is embedded across the organisation. You’ll dive into diverse specialist rotations, gaining hands-on experience in areas like risk frameworks, risk governance, risk culture, and risk model validation. You will learn how we set the bank's overall risk appetite, influence its culture, and ensure our core frameworks are robust. To ensure the strategies you help develop are practical, you'll also have opportunities to connect with our frontline teams, gaining invaluable insight through a customer and operational lens. This stream is designed to give you a truly holistic, enterprise-wide view of how a bank operates, laying the foundation for a highly influential career in strategic risk.
