Biomedical Internship

About The Role:

The Biomedical intern will support the Biomedical team with day-to-day operations, maintenance, and development of our cardiac diagnostic devices and systems. This internship will provide hands-on experience in a fast-growing global health-tech business, offering exposure to both technical and operational aspects of biomedical engineering within a clinical diagnostics environment.

What You'll Do:

• Shadow testing, calibration, and quality assurance of cardiac monitoring devices (e.g. Holter monitors, ECG equipment).


• Support troubleshooting and resolving device-related issues.


• Contribute to documentation, data entry, and reporting for compliance and quality standards.


• Collaborate with Biomedical Engineers on ongoing projects and research initiatives.


• Assist with logistics and preparation of biomedical equipment for global distribution.


• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the team.


• Support inventory management, including stock take of biomedical devices and spare parts.
   

About you:

• Currently undertaking a Biomedical Engineering (or related discipline) degree.


• Strong interest in medical technology and diagnostics.


• Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills.


• Available for a 3-month placement (full-time or part-time depending on study load). 

Learning Outcomes:

• Exposure to real-world biomedical engineering applications in healthcare diagnostics.


• Hands-on training in cardiac monitoring technology.


• Experience working within a global medical diagnostics organisation.


• Development of technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
