Job Description - Community & Ecosystem Intern (Venture / Investment)
About the Client
Our client is a growing investment and venture platform working closely with founders, investors, and the broader startup ecosystem. Through its venture and fund initiatives, the group supports capital raising, investor engagement, and community-building across the venture landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of venture capital, startups, and investor networks, offering exposure to how investment platforms build relationships within the startup ecosystem.
It is ideal for students interested in startups, venture capital, community building, and ecosystem engagement.
Responsibilities
Community & Ecosystem Engagement
Assist in engaging with founders, investors, venture funds, and partners across the ecosystem
Support outreach and relationship-building initiatives within the startup and investment community
Help coordinate communications with ecosystem partners and community members
Events & Ecosystem Initiatives
Support planning and coordination of industry events, roundtables, and community initiatives
Assist with invitations, logistics, and follow-ups
Attend selected startup and investor ecosystem events where relevant
Content & Communications
Draft and edit updates for LinkedIn, newsletters, and community communications
Support preparation of event announcements and partnership updates
Help maintain consistent communication with the community
Operational Support
Maintain community engagement trackers and contact databases
Assist with organising ecosystem initiatives and partnerships
Support internal coordination across the team to keep projects organised and on track

6-month internship
Part-time (approx. 3 days/week) or full-time considered
Start date: ASAP
Must be based in Sydney, Australia
Hybrid working model
Monthly allowance provided
Potential opportunity for full-time conversion after internship completion
About You
Final-year student or recent graduate in business, marketing, communications, commerce, or related field
Strong written communication skills in clear, professional English
Organised, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
Confident interacting with founders, investors, and professionals
Interest in startups, venture capital, or the investment ecosystem
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice to have:
involvement in student societies, events, or community organisations
