Our internships are paid positions, and last between a few months to a whole year\u2014offering opportunities to use what you\u2019ve learned at university on real projects. \n\nOur Operations internships are the best way to understand whether life in the field is for you. We often work in challenging locations where extreme weather and intense pressure are common. It\u2019s demanding, but if you have a sense of adventure and are willing to work hard while getting your hands dirty, it\u2019s a unique and fulfilling opportunity. You\u2019ll work on live projects on active sites and be exposed to the challenges we face every day. \n\nThe Operations Intern is responsible for gaining exposure to career opportunities within the oil and gas technology industry. This person discovers Schlumberger\u0027s role in the industry and the lifestyle associated with the job.\n\n * Learn about the oil and gas industry.\n * Follow prescribed internship guidelines for each week as closely as possible. Note: While the opportunity for technically-trained professionals is large, these jobs are unique in their scope and responsibility and require a special kind of individual to succeed. The internship will enable the candidate and Schlumberger determine if these requirements are met before committing to a full time job.\n\n\n\nWe offer two different internships in Operations. If you\u2019re applying for a Field Engineer internship, you must have completed your second year of an undergraduate degree in engineering or a relevant science. If you\u2019re applying for a Field Specialist internship, you must be working towards a two-year technical diploma or associate degree.\n
