Job Description - Mechatronics Engineering Internship

They have been providing complete design, fabrication, and machining services and solutions for all industry sectors spanning over four decades. The company is firmly focused on modernising and revolutionising workshops and production facilities around Australia through the creation of tailored welding and fixturing systems.

Tasks:

CNC machining: application, limitations, method of programming, machining from a 3D model.

Fabrication: various welding methods, minimisation of heat distortion, preparation for welding.

The creation of 3D models to produce 2D drawings using Solidworks

Fabrication drawings: understanding the various welding symbols, understand of fabrication tolerances, requirement of stress relieving

Machining drawings: the application of machining and geometrical tolerances symbols

Gain experience using metrology equipment such as CMM â Co-ordinate Measuring Machine
