We’ve designed an opportunity to help you learn key consulting skills and expand your knowledge. Allocated to real client projects, interns take ownership of tasks whilst being supported through a collaborative team environment. Nous is committed to supporting our students learning, with the conclusion of the placement ideally resulting in a permanent position. We look for students who are interested in a consulting career. 

We offer part-time positions for students engaged in tertiary studies where opportunities can be tailored to meet course requirements. Placement project work will vary based on the timing, however, students can expect to be involved in projects that relate to our organisational performance and leadership business offers, including:

Nous is looking for placement students who are:

• Masters of Organisational or Industrial Psychology students 


• Passionate about doing work that matters and creates positive influence, in an environment that values diversity and creativity.


• Motivated to deliver high quality work and outcomes for clients and colleagues, underpinned by a consistent commitment to professionalism.


• Intellectually flexible and curious with the ability to learn quickly across a range of subject matters and apply what you learn to real-world problems.


• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously.

Our consultants excel in:

• Problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data.


• Written and verbal communication skills, including clear and compelling structured thinking.


• Interpersonal skills including the ability to provide and respond to feedback and navigate uncertain environments with clients and colleagues.

A snapshot of recent projects:

• re-designing education innovation functions and organisation design for major universities


• identifying diversity and inclusion priorities for a Government Department


• designing and delivering a leadership program for an Australian bank


• the implementation of a financial service providers’ new leadership and cultural change


• using co-design techniques, worked with victims and perpetrators of family violence to create a service development plan for a contact centre.
