In executing this role, you will be responsible for …
- Reporting to the Information Technology Lead
- Smooth operation, maintenance and support of the company’s IT including: Networks, Desktops, Laptops, Servers, Cloud services, Web services, API’s, and ERP systems.
- Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers (WinTel), and virtualization
- Leading desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- PC hardware maintenance including: ATX PC, Laptop PC, NUC PC deployments
- Ensuring security of data, network access and back-up systems
- Installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes
- Maintaining and supporting Linux Web Servers and API’s, assisting engineers and software developers where appropriate.
- Deploying, maintaining, supporting, and assisting in the development of reporting and monitoring intranet hosted dashboards.
- Performing regular preventative maintenance and patch management for Applications, Servers, and Client computing devices
- Troubleshooting hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Preserving assets, information security and control structures
- Ensuring security of data, network access and back-up systems
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Relevant IT qualifications (completed or in progress)
- Proven 3 year’s professional experience
- A basic level of confidence in using scripting languages – T-SQL essential
- Hands-on experience with computer network, network administration and network installation
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A strong customer service focus
- The ability to work with others in a team environment, including sharing knowledge and experiences.
