Gender Endocrinology NurseApplications are sought from suitably qualified nursing staff for the position of adult Gender Endocrinology Nurse at Monash Health. Applicants must be qualified for a Registered Nurse position Part Time on an ongoing basis and available as an immediate start (days / timing to be arranged but will need to correspond to clinic timings).About the DepartmentThe Monash Health Endocrinology Unit runs a clinic specifically for the management of hormone replacement for people, whose care is otherwise managed by the State Government funded Gender Service. Funding is provided from the Gender Clinic to the Endocrine Unit to fund this activity.With an increase in both clinical need and funding, registered nurses with relevant experience are being sought to join the team. The clinic is currently an Endocrinology clinic, but it is anticipated that GP and potentially other medical speciality roles will be incorporated within the clinic.The role is responsible for:Providing high quality and compassionate clinical care including anthropometric measures, testosterone undecanoate injections, and education regarding gender affirming hormone therapy Co-ordinating clinic bookings and general clinical administration when required Providing an efficient and helpful point of contact and communication for patients and colleaguesParticipating in clinical audit and research activities of the clinic.
