Job Description - 2025 Graduate Registered Nurse Program - PMCV - General and Mental Health

Role

Our Graduate Registered Nurse Program is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our graduates.

We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes.

Note: this job advert is for Graduate Registered Nurses who are applying through the PMCV Allocation and Placement Service process (previously known as computer match).

We have four pathways for nursing graduates in 2025 including:

  • General Nursing (12 months with 2 rotations)
  • Pure Mental Health (12 months with 2 rotations)
  • Blended Mental Health (6 months) and General Nursing (6 months)
  • Collaborative program with Alexandra District Health (ADH) (6 months at Eastern Health and 6 months as ADH)

  • Graduate Program Application Form  (please download the form , located under the "Position Description" section. Complete the form, then upload to the "Graduate Program Application" section of the attachments)
  • Academic transcript  with grading key (digital and non-certified version are accepted)
  • 2 x Placement appraisals (also known as "Clinical Assessment Tools", "ANSAT", or "summative placement feedback").
  • If you are applying for the Blended Program, please upload 1 x acute / sub-acute nursing appraisal AND 1 x mental health appraisal
  • Cover letters and CV / resume are optional. Uploading one will not affect your application.

    Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
