We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Mid-Level Account Manager to join our passionate team in Cremorne, Victoria. This part-time role (3 days per week) focuses on managing sponsorship and partnership accounts, providing a unique opportunity to maintain and grow relationships with key partners while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors and partners.
- Proactively enhance sponsor and partner engagement with tailored solutions.
- Present updates during campaigns, conduct post-event debriefs, and manage renewals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of commitments.
- Act as the primary contact with designated partners, liaising with events, marketing, and finance departments.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, including feedback, progress, and risks.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and potential opportunities.
- Assist in preparing compelling presentations and proposals.
- Prepare partnership agreements using approved templates.
Collaboration:
- Align strategies with the General Manager of Partnerships.
- Support the Partnership Coordinator in executing partnership activities and events.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of partnership processes.
- Liaise with event and marketing teams to leverage partner benefits.
Systems and Reporting:
- Familiarise and use all MDC systems (Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Sharepoint, Funraisin – training provided).
General Administration:
- Assist with organizing MDC events, such as media launches.
- Handle other administration tasks as required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, business development, sponsorship, or partnership roles.
- Proven track record of managing sponsorship and partnership relationships, with exposure to events (desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, proactive, and able to prioritize effectively.
