Accounts Receivable Officer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to join our Warwick Farm Depot Accounts Receivable Team.

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining financial, administrative and clerical services to all customers in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. 

The role is permanent part time, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 2:30pm. 

Key duties in this role will include:

• Applying customer’s payments from Bank statement downloaded each morning for EFT payments from previous days Transactions report;
• Opening & distributing External & Internal mail;
• Action all emails received within a 24 hour period (50 – 150+ emails & calls per day);
• Manual data entry;
• Addressing/resolving client’s account queries;
• Providing support with escalations in regards to complex account issues;
• Liaising with internal Departments& Managers;
• Review and process all Direct Guard Freight Warranty claims or declines as per the National Commercial Manager;
• Maintaining the systems Mail Box of POD’s scanned but not applied to an existing consignment note numbers is the system; 
• On charging IFS fess to our Customers weekly;
• Maintaining the allocation& releasing QRCODE locked consignment notes;
• Entering consignment listing from IT Support for PDA Mailbox weekly;
• Preparations for weekly invoice runs;
• Other ad hoc duties.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Effective communication skills;
• Proven problem solving ability to ensure financial accuracy;
• Exceptional telephone manner;
• Ability to multi-task and work to strict timelines/deadlines with speed and accuracy;

Previous accounts experience not essential.
