A dedicated Administration Assistant (20 hrs per week) - Permanent Part Time (with ability to increase hours where needed)

As a prominent and nurturing 260 place Outside School Hours Care Service, we provide a dynamic environment that offers enriching experiences for primary school-aged children.

About Us:

Wilston Kids Care is an outstanding 260 place Outside School Hours Care Service, and is seeking dedicated Casual Educators to join our team. Located within the esteemed Wilston State School, our service offers enriching opportunities for primary school-aged children. Recognised as "Exceeding" in all 7 quality areas under the National Quality Framework, Wilston Kids Care is independently operated by Wilston State School Parents and Citizens Association with full management control. The Service is managed operationally, by an experienced General Manager with high level industry experience managing the day-to-day business operations of the Service. The General Manager is the appointed Nominated Supervisor under the National Law and Regulations.

Our Team:

Supported by an experienced Management and Administration Team, including our General Manager, Coordinator of Operations, two Coordinators, two Assistant Coordinators, an Educational Leader, a Service Support Manager, and an Administration Officer, Wilston Kids Care is further strengthened by a diverse and skilled team of Educators.

We are looking for part-time (20 hrs per week) dynamic, engaged, motivated, and customer orientated Administration Assistant.

Looking for the position to commence ASAP.

THE ROLE

As an Administration Assistant you will:

  • Be the face of the Service managing the office counter, greeting children and families in a warm and welcoming way.
  • Support the Administrator Officer with orientations/tours, enrolments, general enquiries and maintaining office/email/ phone correspondence, manage parents accounts and monitor ongoing payments and debts.
  • Previous experience in using the digital enrolment system Xplor is desirable or a willingness to learn.
  • Work autonomously and be a self starter.
  • Assist in helping visiting suppliers/contractors attending the office reception.
  • Perform general administrative tasks in an accurate, reliable, and honest manner as directed by the Administration Officer and Management Team.
  • General filing and office tasks.
  • Be experienced in software applications like WORD and Excel.
  • Help to manage Facebook and create posters on Canva.
  • Available to work Monday -Thursday (6.30am-10am) and Friday 12.15am - 6.15pm). Ability to work more hours if needed.

ABOUT YOU

  • Working knowledge of CCSS (Child Care Subsidy System) Guidelines, desirable but not essential.
  • Good computer skills with knowledge in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Highly organised with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities to produce work of high quality and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills - both written and verbal with the ability to be customer service orientated and professional.
  • Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain one. (Paid for by WKC).
  • Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain certification (paid for by WKC).
  • Willingness to learn and be a self-starter.
  • Honest and reliable and enjoys being part of a professional and fun working environment.
