Join a Team Where Your Work Truly Matters

Administration in aged care is more than schedules, systems, and paperwork — it’s about supporting the people who care for others every day. At Wesley Mission Queensland (WMQ), our Residential Aged Care teams work with purpose, compassion, and respect to create environments where residents feel safe, valued, and at home.

Our team at Chermside is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to play a vital role in keeping our facility running smoothly and supporting quality care outcomes.

Why Join WMQ Residential Aged Care?

Working in residential aged care means being part of something meaningful. Your contribution supports residents, families, and care teams alike — ensuring services are delivered with dignity, efficiency, and heart.

At WMQ, we offer more than just a job:

  • Purpose-driven work – Make a genuine difference in a residential care environment

  • Supportive team culture – Work alongside people who share your values

  • Career development – Structured induction, mentoring, and growth opportunities

Your Role as Administration Officer

As an Administration Officer, you’ll contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the facility, providing high-quality administrative support in a busy and rewarding aged care environment. Your role will include:

  • Delivering professional, customer-focused administrative support

  • Managing invoicing, purchasing, accounts reconciliation, and stock control

  • Coordinating roster changes and staffing updates using Kronos

  • Processing maintenance requests and overseeing local building works

  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and staff orientation

  • Participating in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement activities

  • Handling non-clinical enquiries and complaints under delegation

  • Supporting safe, compliant operations in line with WHS and NDIS requirements

  • Supervising a part-time Administration Officer where applicable

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisation and time management in a busy office environment

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and administrative systems

  • Sound knowledge of finance processes, invoicing, GST, and stock control

  • Understanding of staffing workflows within aged care

  • Commitment to confidentiality, quality improvement, and customer service

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive for work

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have

  • Diploma in Administration

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards)

  • Previous experience in aged care, health, or community services

Essential Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination status as required by legislation and WMQ policy

  • Relevant probity checks

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
