Job Description - Administration Officer

We are looking to hire a focused Administration Officer to join our fast-paced team at Rooshock Accounting in Allenby Gardens, Adelaide SA.

We’re looking for an Administration Officer/Personal Assistant (to the Director) to join our team at Rooshock Accounting. It’ll be a super exciting role for someone who is keen to join a fast-growing business in the accounting space. You’ll also get to work with the Ethan Rooshock brand and YouTube channel.

Hours: Part Time (9 Hours per week) - This role will likely grow into a full time role if desired as the business grows. Working hours and days are negotiable.

Location: In Person - This role will be in person in our Adelaide office. There will be potential flexibility in work from home days in the future.

Pay Rate: $27 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)

What You Will Be Doing

Broadly, there are 2 aspects to the role - administration/client officer and personal assistant to the director.

  • Responding to client enquiries, this can be via phone, email, Facebook, in-person etc.
  • Scheduling appointments and calendar events
  • Managing the day-to-day organisation of the office
  • Helping to triage email conversations and ensure tasks are being allocated to the relevant team member. We would be aiming to get to inbox zero at the end of each working day.
  • Ensuring each aspect of the business has systems and procedures that allow us to continue to grow
  • Managing Travel Bookings - Booking business and personal travel, including flights, transport, logistics, etc.

  • You’ve had prior experience with the Google Suite of products (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets.)
  • You enjoy using and learning new technology, as well as cloud software.
  • You’re familiar with any of the following softwares (we’d love to hear more from you in your application as to what your experiences are) - Xero, Karbon, Notion, Hubspot, Kajabi, Calendly, Final Cut Pro, Canva, Ignition.
  • You’ve had experience managing calendars and booking appointments.
  • You’re good at figuring stuff out. You’re willing and able to learn new skills by using Google and YouTube.
  • You’re super organised and love admin and logistics.
  • You like taking responsibility for tasks. We don’t want to give you tasks and micro manage you, we want to give you tasks that you take responsibility for, and always look for ways to improve processes.
  • You’re able to work effectively in a team environment. We want people who are collaborative, rather than competitive.
  • You’re able to independently manage deadlines for projects.
  • You enjoy working in a fast paced and flexible environment. You need to be able to work with a degree of autonomy. This isn’t a position for someone who isn’t comfortable with change.

Our mission is to help people get all they desire from their business. We do this by optimising their Taxes, Structures, Systems, Profits and Ideas. We also help Individual taxpayers with their tax obligations.

Beyond our clients, we help other business owners and taxpayers by producing content that helps educate them in the areas of tax and business. The majority of this happens via Ethan’s (Our Director) YouTube channel. The YouTube channel has grown to over 10K subscribers, with the videos being viewed over half a million times. We are proud that a large amount of our clients have started their journey as viewers of the channel. With our online presence being strong, this has allowed us to grow a business that serves clients all across the country.
