Job Description - Administrative Support

Employment Type: Permanent part time 0.6 EFT

Hours: 48 hours per fortnight, rotating roster including weekends and public holidays - 7 days a week.

Salary: YC89

Location: MMH&WS – Wyndham Clinic, Saltwater Clinic, Clare Moore Building, Mother Baby Unit

About the opportunity

The role of the Administration Officer is responsible for providing high quality reception and administrative support to the Mercy Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. This involves completing the patient journey (admitting, discharging, arriving, departing and transferring) on various patient management systems. You will be greeting clients and visitors and responding to enquiries. You will provide support to other team members and actively participate in key activities of the Mercy Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.

ABOUT YOU: 

  • Demonstrated administrative and MS Office skills, iPM, CMi, and Mastercare desirable

  • Strong customer service focus and excellent conflict resolution skills

  • Proven problem solving, ability to work autonomously, time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
