About the Role

The Advisor – Health & Safety provides operational H&S support to Origin’s LPG business across Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The role forms part of a broader HSE team supporting LPG, Retail, Origin Zero and metro office locations.The primary work location will be based out of an LPG terminal (Somerton VIC, Hobart or Devonport TAS, or Cavan SA). Alternatively, the role may be based from the Melbourne or Adelaide offices, with regular travel to LPG sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical health and safety advice, coaching and support to LPG operational leaders and site teams in line with Origin’s HSE strategy, policies and management system.


• Conduct site visits, inspections and risk assessments, supporting incident investigations, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations.


• Partner with site leaders to strengthen safety culture through effective safety conversations, control verification and contractor management practices.


• Support the development and implementation of safety plans, emergency response activities, training and assurance programs.


• Collaborate closely with the wider HSE team to ensure consistency, efficiency and best practice across the business.

About You

You are a hands-on H&S professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams in site-based environments. You are confident engaging with leaders, contractors and frontline workers and can balance autonomy with strong collaboration across a broader team.

You will bring:

• 3–5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within operational, industrial or energy-based environments.


• Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management and incident investigation processes.


• The ability to manage multiple priorities, plan travel effectively and maintain a regular on-site presence.


• Clear communication skills with the confidence to coach, influence and build strong working relationships.


• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline (mandatory).
