Job Description - Assistant Centre Manager - Yeronga

Help Lead Our Newest Sunkids Centre at Yeronga


At Sunkids we believe that Every Child is a Precious Trust, which is why we aim to provide children with beautiful childcare environments that nurture the whole child.


With 17 centres across South East Queensland, we pride ourselves on delivering our proven curriculum with dedicated and experienced educators working throughout our state of the art centres, working alongside our families to help develop strong working relationships.


About the Centre
Sunkids Yeronga is a purpose-built centre that caters for 90 children from 6 weeks to school age throughout 5 fully-serviced, modern learning rooms designed specifically for each age group.


About the Role
As a Assistant Centre Manager you will:



  • Work closely with the Centre Manager on day to day operations, and step up to cover the role in their absence

  • Assisting with administrative tasks as required by the Centre Manager

  • Support both families and educators to get the most out of our centre

  • Create positive and professional relationships with children, families, colleagues and community stakeholders

  • Support the centre in meeting or exceeding the EYLF and NQS

  • Ensure all policies and regulatory requirements are embedded within the Centre


If you have the desire to:



  • Ideally have completed Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma of Children Services as a minimum qualification

  • Current Paid Blue Card

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates or willingness to obtain

  • Current Child Protection or willingness to obtain

  • Prior experience using QikKids and Microsoft Office - preferable

  • Build and lead a highly motivated team to deliver a high quality, emergent curriculum

  • Be able to provide a safe and stimulating environment

  • Be able to direct, lead and role model in all areas

  • Have Fantastic Communication Skills

  • Assist with daily operations of the Centre, including staff management, enrolments, record keeping and fees management system
