Assistant In Nursing

As an Assistant In Nursing, you will support the nursing care team in the delivery of a high standard patient care in the acute care environment.

Duties involve

• Transport patients to all areas of the hospital in accordance with recommended safe practices

• Assists with patient meals and fluid intake including preparation of meal table

• Assists with patient showering, bathing, bed washing, oral hygiene, grooming, shaving and dressing, promoting independence where possible.

• Maintain tidy patient care environment.

• Equipment cleaning and maintenance.

• Assist in answering patient call bells and telephone calls in a timely manner.

You will hold a Certificate III Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) or completed 12 months of undergraduate Nursing studies, with recent experience in a similar role.

To succeed you will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with minimal supervision and the capability to identify work priorities and plan to meet them.
