Assistant in Nursing (AIN) - casual

SELECTION CRITERIA

• A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.

• AIN (undergraduate student): Active enrolment in, and successful completion of at least 12 months of an NMBA approved Bachelor of Nursing &/or Midwifery or Diploma of Nursing Program OR Successful completion of the nationally recognised qualification, Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assistance in Nursing Work in Acute Care) HLT33115 or equivalent.

• The ability to demonstrate competence and perform the skills contained within the Statement of Duties. • Demonstrate well-developed communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

• Well-developed planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.

• Willingness to accept feedback on performance and development from Registered Nurse/Midwife and work towards achieving identified learning goals. • Demonstrate effectiveness in working within a team.

• Knowledge of principles of safe manual handling. • Knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement and Infection Control standards.
