Assistant Manager

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team at our Lightsview Fitness Factory Health Clubs.

We are looking for a fun, organised, people person who can assist the General Manager with managing the daily runnings of the Club. An interest and skillset social media and marketing is highly desirable!

About the position

This position will have a focus on membership growth, member retention and developing a great community vibe within the gym!

This part-time position will require working approximately 24-28 hours a week, including early mornings and evenings, spread across 4 days.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Attending to the daily operations of the Club
• Meeting daily, weekly and monthly KPIs
• All round administration duties and customer service, including phone calls, social media enquiries, email and face to face interaction
• Membership Sales and Club Tours
• Keeping Gym clean, tidy and presentable 
• Maintain outstanding store presentation and visual merchandising standards
• Manage escalations from customers
• Oversee debt collection
• Greeting members and guests to our Club
• Assisting in generating memberships and member retention
• Assisting with the business' social media presence

To be considered for this role, ideal candidate must have:

• A people person, with a friendly, fun personality
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to create strong relationships with members and our team
• Social Media and Marketing skills will also be looked upon very favourably!
• Experience in administration support
• Highly organised and reliable, on time every time
• A strong work ethic and a passion for the fitness industry
• Previous experience in a fitness studio/gym is ideal but not essential
• The ability to provide Club Tours and sell gym memberships
• Current senior First Aid, CPR and WWCC
