About the Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Assistant Practice Manager to help support our Practice Manager and Regional Manager at our busy practice in Thirroul. 

We are looking for someone with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. This role can be a job share position for the right applicants.  

Location: This is an exciting opportunity to join Ochre Medical Practice Thirroul. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the Practice Manager to provide best practice primary health care to the community
  • Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with National Standards for Accreditation 
  • Manage the reception team including workflow, billings, administration systems and support.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, health providers, and community organisations

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in an administrative role(medical administration an advantage).
  • Experience in financial management and reporting processes
  • Ability to manage other team members and encourage leadership and team work.
  • Good working knowledge of the Medicare Schedule
  • Strength in building customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize varied and conflicting demands with strong problem solving skills.
