Job Description - Assistant Store Manager Specialty Food Retailer Adelaide Central Market - Part-Time

Gewürzhaus is a family-owned retailer with a growing national network of stores and online sales. We mill and blend over 100 bespoke spice, salt, sugar and tea blends for our self-scoop concept stores, supported by high quality home and gift wares.

About the role 

Our Assistant Store Managers deliver on our mission to create inspiration to nurture cooking at home through genuine knowledgeable customer service and an incredible retail experience for every customer. 

They support the Store Manager in maintaining quality standards across all aspects of store operation including stock management, visual merchandising, store presentation, daily admin tasks and achieving their weekly store budgets. 

They maintain our positive workplace culture through proactive leadership, engagement and effective organisation of their team. They have skill in driving standards, delivering feedback, and motivating their team to hit their targets.

This is a part-time position, working a set weekly roster each week.

Who we are looking for

  • You are passionate about food & love retail!
  • Creating incredible customer experiences in a vibrant retail environment is your ideal workplace
  • You have a positive, can-do outlook 
  • You love to cook and know your way around the kitchen. Spice knowledge is a definite, but not essential, bonus!
  • Hard work & attention to detail are second nature
  • You are an excellent communicator, organiser and delegator
  • You remain calm under stress and can multi-task with swift efficiency
  • You have previous experience within a retail, hospitality or FMCG brand
