Job Description - Associate Nurse Unit Manager - ED

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre - Emergency Department

Salary: $100,343 - $107,279 p.a. (Pro Rata) RN/M2A | Part Time 32 hours p/w - until April 2025

Flinders Medical Centre are looking for a dedicated and skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their Emergency Department Team!

About the role:

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager; this role is responsible for patients in the Emergency Department.

Duties for the role will include:

Assess individual patient/client needs, plan, implement and/or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.

Oversee the provision of nursing/midwifery care within a team/unit in Emergency Department.

Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations.

Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills.

About you:

Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.

Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.

Demonstrated competence in Emergency/Critical Care nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards

Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Tertiary qualifications in Emergency nursing or related discipline
