Associate Nurse Unit Manager Rehabilitation

An excellent managerial opportunity exists for an experienced nursing manager to provide leadership and management of the nursing team at a private rehabilitation centre in Melbourne. It is a permanent part-time offer. THE POSITION Your responsibilities will include:

The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the ward to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, and quality management of all patients;

You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;

With the assistance and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources. 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS  

Current Registration with AHPRA;

Current Police Check (within the last 12 months);

Working with Children’s Check;

Experience in the Acute / Rehabilitation setting;

Sound clinical knowledge;

Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;

Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;

Positive role modeling behaviours;

Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation skills;

Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;

A high degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases;

Willing to work a rotating roster including night duty and weekends.
