We're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team in Narre Warren, Australia. As a Barista, you will be the heart of our cafe, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and creating memorable experiences for our customers. This role offers the perfect opportunity to showcase your passion for coffee while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages and other coffee drinks with precision and consistency
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and other cafe equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and build positive relationships with regular and new customers
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments using the POS system
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously during peak hours while maintaining quality and efficiency
• Customize beverages to meet individual customer preferences and dietary requirements
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations and support colleagues when needed
• Restock supplies and manage inventory levels as required
• Contribute creative ideas for new beverage offerings and cafe improvements

• Proven experience as a Barista or in a customer-facing food service role (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, origins, and flavor profiles
• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and cafe equipment
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Cash handling experience and proficiency with POS systems
• Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation (preferred)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Latte art skills and knowledge of specialty beverage preparation (preferred)
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role
