The dedicated skills-based Board works closely with the passionate and progressive CEO and executive team to ensure their vision for the organisation is realised within a structure of governance and leadership, robust strategic planning, sound financial management and the highest standards of client safety and quality.  An opportunity exists for an experienced non-executive director with skills and expertise in one or more of the following areas: 

• technology, digital and data development;
• leading transformational organisational change;
• customer experience (CX) expertise;
• strategic communications, stakeholder, and community engagement.

Qualified professionals (AICD preferred) with relevant discipline expertise and strategic governance experience relating to large, complex, and highly regulated entities are encouraged to apply.  Experience in a similarly diverse, community-facing, values led NFP, with an interest in the challenges and opportunities presenting for the aged care and health sectors, will be highly valued.  A genuine affinity with the purpose, vision and values of Helping Hand complemented by advanced emotional intelligence, courage and commercial acumen are important qualities sought.

Directors are appointed by the SA Synod of the Uniting Church upon the recommendation of the Board.  Applicants must also meet the suitability criteria to be a Key Personnel as set out in the Aged Care and other Legislation Amendment (Royal Commission Response) Act 2022.
