Job Description - Book Keeper/ Administrative Office All Rounder - Part-Time

Aitken Civil Engineering is a family owned and operated earthworks company providing civil construction services Sydney wide and regional areas. We are currently seeking a Book Keeper / Admin All Rounder.

The Book Keeper/Office All Rounder will support the team by providing a broad range of support assistance for various programs, Accounts maintenance and corporate support services and have the ability to handle multiple jobs/projects at one time and demonstrate great communication skills (both written and verbally). Roll is part time;  3 - 4 days per week depending on work load.

The successful candidate will be managing accounting (Invoice in), reconciliations, payroll, project cost spreadsheets and general office admin.

The successful applicant preferred competencies to be demonstrated on a day to day basis are listed below:

Duties & focus:

  • MYOB; Invoice input, payroll, reconciliations
  • Payroll experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Employee tracking; Holidays, Annual leave, etc
  • Accounts email management
  • Providing accountant information to complete BAS and equipment finance requirements
  • Generally; Providing accounts information and completing forms for obtaining revised insurances, equipment finances etc
  • Project Cost sheets; inputting project supervisors diaries to costing spreadsheets to calculate monthly project costs
  • Project Costing; Monthly summary of project costs and budget spreadsheet assistance
  • Vehicles; Manage payment and tracking of registration renewals, insurance renewals, order and track new fuel cards and E-Tags
  • Employee's Uniform order and tracking. 
  • Picking up mail from the PO Box
  • Any other duties required from the Director

 

Applicants must have:

  • Experience with accounting software
  • Experience with spreadsheets
  • Good communication skills
  • Good Initiative Skills
  • Must have a good attitude to work within a team
  • Preferred; Available to use company vehicles to run errands from time to time. Check PO Box or parcel drop off.
