Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team and work on site in our new office at Peakhurst. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial management, proficiency in MYOB and Xero accounting software, and experience in utilizing inventory management platforms preferably Unleashed. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing company in an exciting and innovative industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using MYOB and Xero accounting software.
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
3. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
4. Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll tasks, including calculating wages, deductions, and entitlements to industry standards.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare EOM financial reports for management review.
6. Inventory Management: Utilise our inventory management platform Unleashed to track inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and manage inventory reconciliation.
7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
9. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to support financial operations and achieve company objectives.
10. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient accounting procedures.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper preferably in the Food service and Distribution industry.
• Proficiency in MYOB and Xero accounting software.
• Experience with inventory management platforms, particularly Unleashed.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
• Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
• Tertiary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Internal Contacts: You will collaborate with our Accounts team, Purchasing team, Warehouse Staff, Drivers, and Senior Management.

External Contacts: Key Customers, Suppliers and Third party vendors.

Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours. Start immediately.

Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping preferably within the Food service and Distribution industry.
