Our client is a national law firm with offices in multiple cities across Australia. Delivering legal services in areas of insurance, health, corporate advisory, commercial law, employment law, commercial litigation and dispute resolution, their clients include leading local and international companies, a large number of professional organisations and hundreds of individual practitioners.
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, Marketing & Communications, the Business Development & Marketing Advisor will play an integral part in assisting to retain, grow and manage key client relationships and raise the profile of sector/practice groups internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and implementation of strategies for nurturing and enhancing existing key client relationships and for winning business from target clients
- Assist with the introduction and implementation of a client listening program to capture insights from key clients
- Develop regular reporting using existing internal systems to capture client insights
- Provide support in the development of legal panel tender responses
- Develop and implement practice group and client plans and client relationship management initiatives
- Develop internal and external marketing activities to raise the profile of individual practitioners, sector/practice groups and legal services
- Write, edit and product marketing communications materials to support the business development agenda including capability statements, presentations, alerts and web copy
- Proactively engage and support the delivery of BDMC initiatives and projects as required and proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the business
- Work collaboratively across the BDMC and Business Solutions team to delivery client focused outcomes
Skills and Experience
- 5 years of experience in a legal services environment
- Degree qualified in Marketing and/or Business
- Proven record of business development experience and successful development and implementation of marketing initiatives
- A high level of business acumen and an understanding of client objectives in the legal marketplace
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed communication skills with a client-focused approach
